GAO.gov serves as a central information hub for congressional reports, legal decisions, and agency publications. The redesign effort focused on modernizing the homepage structure and improving discoverability of key resources such as Reports & Testimonies, Legal Decisions, and Key Issues.
Worked as part of a web design and development team responsible for the GAO website. Contributed to front-end implementation using HTML and CSS, prepared and optimized web imagery, and supported layout updates and visual consistency across the site.
The redesign helped modernize GAO’s digital presence and improved the accessibility and organization of major content areas, enabling users to more efficiently locate reports, legal decisions, and agency information.
The website needed to function simultaneously as a professional portfolio, brand platform, and online storefront. The goal was to create a refined digital environment that reflected the tone of gallery presentation while allowing visitors to explore collections and purchase works directly.
Designed and developed the website independently, including visual design, site architecture, content organization, product presentation, and e-commerce setup. Implemented the site using WordPress and configured online purchasing functionality with WooCommerce.
Structured the homepage to guide visitors from artist narrative to collection exploration
Used large-format imagery and minimal interface elements to maintain a gallery-like viewing experience
Organized site structure into distinct collections to support intuitive navigation
Integrated e-commerce functionality to allow direct purchasing while preserving a premium presentation
Designed responsive layouts to maintain visual quality across desktop and mobile devices
The website serves as both a digital gallery and a commercial platform, enabling collectors to discover work, understand the artistic narrative, and purchase sculptures directly.
